XP Health Webinar Q&A

We had a great turnout at the recent XP Health webinar, where attendees asked smart, thoughtful questions that dug into what makes this digital-first vision benefits platform stand out. From brand expansion and prescription flexibility to rural access and pricing, the discussion offered a window into how XP Health is rethinking vision care.

Frame Selection and Brand Requests

A big topic of interest was around XP Health’s growing frame selection and whether members can request new brands. The answer? Yes. XP Health actively adds new brands based on member feedback. Their catalog has grown from 1,500 to 4,000 frames and is on track to hit 6,000 by the end of the year, with brands like Garrett Leight and Maui Jim added due to customer demand. Each frame is vetted in their California finishing lab to ensure quality and durability.

Customer Support That Mirrors Employer Expectations

Attendees also asked about customer service and it didn’t disappoint. Members can get help via live chat, phone, or email from 6 AM to 7 PM PT. Automated help is available for simple requests, but real humans are there during business hours. This was one of the reasons Ameriflex chose to partner with XP Health: the shared focus on quality service.

Specialized Vision Needs and LASIK

Questions came in about everything from LASIK discounts (yes, 15% off) to handling unique prescriptions, like when only one lens needs correction. XP Health can accommodate those situations, and their support team is ready to walk members through any custom needs.

Coverage in Rural Areas

One attendee asked about network access in rural Nebraska. XP Health’s provider network includes over 100,000 locations, including major retailers like Walmart, which is often a solid option in rural areas. Plus, the platform’s design minimizes in-person visits: one eye exam, then your eyewear ships to your door. For many, even the prescription renewal process can be done online.

Prescription Specs and Tech

Another hot topic was pupillary distance (PD). If it’s not included in a prescription, XP Health helps members measure it with an easy tech tool using a webcam and magnetic strip card. They also offer full model numbers and extra support for those who want to get into the frame specs.

Pricing and Implementation

he platform runs on a PEPM (per employee per month) model with broker commission options. Implementation usually takes 30 days but can go faster. Two plan levels are available: Core (frames start at $35) and Enhanced (800+ frames that start at $0). Both come with consistent wholesale pricing, even for high-end brands like Gucci and Tom Ford.

Contact Lens Perks

XP Health doesn’t make you choose between glasses and contacts. All members get an annual contact lens TCO benefit, and lenses are sold at wholesale pricing that beats big-name retailers like 1-800-CONTACTS and Costco.

Broker and Marketing Support

Brokers asked about support resources, and XP Health delivered. They offer co-branded brochures, talking points, and presentation support, plus both XP Health and Ameriflex are available to join client meetings to help make the case

Final Thoughts

The Q&A made it clear: XP Health is built to be flexible, accessible, and service-forward. Whether it’s expanding eyewear options, meeting rural coverage needs, or supporting brokers with real tools, XP Health is delivering vision care that work for today’s employers and employees.
